Mission Statement
Naomh Mhuire National School is a co-educational, Catholic Primary School which strives to
provide a well-ordered, caring, happy and secure atmosphere where the intellectual,
spiritual, physical, emotional, moral and cultural needs of the pupils are identified and
addressed. We aim at a general education, which embodies academic standards allied to a
broad range of experience, which will develop the whole child and prepare him/her for the
demands of further education and the rapidly changing society in which we now live.
While Naomh Mhuire National School is a school with a Catholic ethos, under the patronage
of the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin, it also has due recognition for all other religions, or
non-religious groups.
Naomh Mhuire National School will strive to promote, both individually and collectively, the
professional and personal development of teachers through staff development
programmes.
Naomh Mhuire National School encourages parents/guardians to become involved in what
children do at school and we hope that every parent/guardian will take advantage of the
opportunities to find out about their child’s work progress and development in school. We
also encourage the involvement of parents through their participation in the Parents
Association.
Naomh Mhuire National School will endeavour to enhance the self-esteem and well-being
of everyone in the school community, to imbue the pupils respect for people and property
and to encourage in them the idea of being responsible.
Naomh Mhuire National School will promote gender equity amongst the teachers and
pupils.
